- Open drain and vent to depressurize and drain the trap
- Open trap door and load the pig against the reducer
- Close and seal the trap door
- Close the drain, then open the kicker to fill the trap
- When full, close the vent
- Open the isolation valve to prepare for launch
- Build pressure by gradually closing the main valve
- Pig launches into the pipeline
- After launch, fully open mainline valve
- Monitor pig movement with signalers
