Essentially uni 2282 pn16 flanges are used in those instances that require the elimination of the problems that tend to occur in pre-engineered, prefabricated piping systems. A Uni-Flange eliminates the requirement to rely on off-site fabricators and machine shops. Different alloy grades could be used in the manufacture of uni standard flanges such as alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex and super duplex steels along with nickel and copper steels. The material used to produce these UNI Flanges along with the PN will be dependent on the type of application these components are to be used for. PN, which is a prefix stands for Pressure Nominale, which indicates the pressure class these flanges belong to. For instance, PN 10 indicates that these flanges can withstand a pressure up to level 10

UNI Flanges Dimensions
UNI Flanges Standards
The connection type for UNI flanges includes Lap-Joint Face, Raised Face, Ring Type Joint, Flat Face, Large Male-Female, Small Male-Female, Large Tongue & Groove as well as Small Tongue & Groove. While selecting the flange for any application several aspects need to be taken into consideration such as cost, pressure rating, the material used to manufacture the flange as well as the setting it is to be used for. For instance, Uni Pn 10 Carbon Steel Flanges, although are a cheaper alternative to stainless steel, the corrosion resistance properties and mechanical strength is lesser to the grade 316 stainless steel.
Generally, the UNI Flanges Dimensions are applied in industries such as Offshore, Natural Gas, Oil Field, Water System, Shipbuilding, Electric Power, Pipe Projects etc.
